Hello! I'm Thanapol Popit, but you can call me Wan. I'm a fourth year Computer Engineering student at King Mongkut's University of Technology Thonburi.
My main interest is artificial intelligence, especially natural language processing (NLP). I've gained AI experience through my work and the SuperAI Engineer program. While I started with computer vision projects, I've now shifted my focus to NLP.
I'm also interested in web development and cybersecurity. I enjoy learning new skills and working on different tech projects.

- Deployed a personalized LightGBM ranker (People Also Order) to LINE MAN's checkout page, building the full gRPC serving layer, feature store integration, and managing a staged rollout to 10% of live traffic.
- Optimized model serving to handle 90 to 240 RPS peak traffic via preprocessing pipeline improvements, k6 load testing, and pod/core tuning.
- Built an agentic workflow for ML deployment & optimization that accelerated model-to-production cycles by ~2x (from 1-2 weeks to 3-7 days) at ~$150 per model.
- Selected as 1 of 6 capstone finalists (out of 13 teams) to present the People Also Order project to the CEO and CTO.

- Prototyped and iterated on speech & conversational AI features within the R&D and Innovation Lab.
- Optimized the production Thai ASR pipeline by evaluating and fine-tuning candidate models, delivering a Whisper Medium solution that reduced footprint by ~2x and latency by ~1.74x with <1% accuracy loss.
- Authored and implemented a novel Thai Semantic End-of-Turn detection method (published at IEEE ICSEC 2025), integrating it into the conversational pipeline to solve user interruption issues.
